In this intermediate level class, you will
complete one of my classic urn and balustrade murals
similar to the one featured at right.
You'll learn to layout
the full size mural (aproximately 4' x 5')
at the proper viewing angle and perspective using basic
tools such as rulers, levels, tape, and strings. Some of
the elements you will paint include blended sky, an
atmospheric landscape, italian cypress trees, a delicate
trellis, classical urn and balustrade and climbing
greenery with delicate growing roses.
We'll paint full size on wall-mounted canvas
so your experience will truly be one of "mural
painting". And because your mural is painted
on canvas, you'll be able to roll it up and take
it with you at the end of the course. Arrange-
ments can also be made to package and ship
it to you if you are flying in.
The intermediate level does not require that
you have any experience actually painting
murals on walls, but you do need to have
artistic ability, preferably with painting. You
should understand the fundemental principles
of art such as light and shadow, composition,
and basic perspective.
Use of all tools and materials is included with
the class fee as is a catered lunch.
