In early October of
2001, Marc Sova was
commissioned to paint
the nose of this
KC-135 Tanker of the
126th Refueling
Wing at Scott AFB in
Illinois. Commemorat-
ing the events of
September 11th, the
artwork features an
american flag, the
pentagon, a bald eagle,
a golden olive branch,
and the sun dawning a
new day upon planet
earth.
